The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into reports of inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.
The company has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, noting: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works altogether, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
